CONSIGNMENTS

Do you have a painting or a work of art that you would like sold? Contact Us for more information. The Colonial Art Gallery & Co. is presently taking consignments. The standard commission rate for each item sold in the gallery is (rate may vary depending on the particular piece).

These fees do not include administrative, photography, research or restoration fees if applicable. Only consignors with proper identification may pick up unsold property.

FINE ART APPRAISALS

Written appraisals can be prepared for insurance, charitable donation, estate tax, family division or other purposes. The Colonial Art Gallery & Co. has offered fine art appraisals for over forty years and has written appraisals for major collections, organizations and agencies of the government-- most notably the Federal Deposit Insurance Company (FDIC) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Appraisal fees vary according to circumstance. Flat rates will be quoted based upon expert time involved and costs of processing. For over 40 years, the Gallery has proudly offered free verbal appraisals as a Public Service.

In House Appraisals:	Estate or Location Appraisals:
Written: $25.00 per item	$150.00 per hour including travel time.

These fees do not including research, administrative or processing fees.

Should the client subsequently consign the appraised property to the Gallery within one year of the appraisal, a pro-rata rebate of our fee will be made.

INSPECTION VISITS

The Colonial Art Gallery & Co. is pleased to make initial inspection visits to review property under consideration for sale at the Gallery. The fee will be rebated upon consignment of property to the Colonial Art Gallery & Co.

COVERAGE FOR RISK OF LOSS OR DAMAGE

The Colonial Art Gallery & Co. will not assume responsibility for loss or damage to frames. Property with a value of $10,000 or less will be covered while in our gallery. Consignors with an item(s) valued more than $10,000 will be charged an additional Risk of Loss Fee (rates will vary). Consignors may avoid this charge by insuring property under their own policy or by releasing The Colonial Art Gallery & Co. in writing from responsibility for loss or damage.

PACKING AND SHIPPING

The Gallery provides professional worldwide shipping. Packing fees & shipping charges vary depending on the value, size and weight of an item.

RESTORATION SERVICES

Under the careful expertise and direction of Willard E. Johnson, the Colonial Art Gallery offers a variety of restoration services, specializing in the restoration of oil paintings. Prices will vary depending on the extent of the project.
